Forum Wissen is open to everyone. We want to make our exhibitions and programmes accessible to as many visitors as possible. We are working to help shape equal participation in culture and science.
Building
All parts of the Forum Wissen building are accessible via lifts. Cloakroom and lockers are located on the ground floor (level 0). Our staff are happy to assist you. Accessible toilets are also located in the cloakroom area.
Exhibitions and Programme
Almost all of the display cases and tables in our exhibition areas are accessible. We rely on the multi-sensory principle in our organized activities and use new technologies for inclusive knowledge communication and mediation. Various stations invite visitors to touch, see, hear and smell.
An inclusive audio tour accompanies visually impaired and blind people through the “Spaces of Knowledge” by means of audio-descriptive content. There is no tactile guidance system.
Videos in German sign language and texts in easy-to-read language are also available in the Forum Wissen App.
Visit
Accessible parking spaces are available. Assistance dogs are welcome at our house.
