The exhibits at Forum Wissen come largely from the more than 70 academic collections of the University of Göttingen. Since the university was founded, academics from a wide range of disciplines have been collecting objects that they use for research and teaching. Over the centuries, many valuable collections have been created, which until the Forum Wissen was opened could above all be seen during the so-called Sunday walks (in German). We are now making some of these collections accessible in the Forum Wissen.
